From 24/12/08 The Normans Team will be taking a well earned break to celebrate the Christmas & New Year period.
We will be running on a ’skeleton staff’ rota during Christmas opening times
and we will be doing our best to answer any sales enquiries you may have during this time.
When will my Christmas/New Year orders be delivered?
All orders (for items delivered by City-Link Courier) placed on, or before 10pm on Sunday 21/12/08 will be shipped out TODAY on a Next Day delivery service.
For all orders placed after this date: – Normal shipping schedules will resume when we reopen on Monday 5th January 2009.
We’d like to thank you for your continued support and wish you the very best for 2009
From all of the Normans Team.

According to unconfirmed reports (my Father!), Tom Chambers – newly crowned “Strictly” winner bought a Trumpet from Normans some years ago!
This is, by any stretch, a tenuous link, and scraping the barrel of celebrity “endorsement” - but probably (well at least possibly) true.
One think that is for certain is that Tom attended Foremarke Hall (a school very close by) and that his wife Claire (who he married during the series at nearby Repton church) worked (briefly) during the holidays at Normans in the accounts office (together with her gorgeous sisters!).

So well done Tom (& Camilla) !

Our warehouse will reopen on Friday 02/01/09
Our Standard Delivery Schedules will resume from Monday 05/01/09 onwards.

Another day and another 200+ orders received overnight from our website.
In addition, to add to the (organised!) chaos we’ve had another 40ft high top container arrive today, mostly full of (very heavy) drum kits.
Light at the end of the tunnel?! – it’s dark inside a container! (and much bigger than it looks from the outside!)
Despite his “metaller” exterior, Big Ed briefly exposed his feminine side by cursing the fact he split a nail in the process!
Meanwhile Dan (after saying he was tired after shifting 5 drum kits!) got a second wind and got stuck in to the back of the container like a man on a mission – despite his purple mowhawk taking a battering!
JOB DONE! The team reverts to their usual antics after unloading 2,482 products – including 185 drum kits.
With Drum kits currently being sold at about 25 a day, that’s about a week’s worth!
The Christmas rush has well and truly arrived here – with a mad rush of telephone and Internet orders over the weekend.
The warehouse was at full capacity Monday and we despatched over 650 orders!
We would have sent out 100 more - but our last City Link lorry (we had four!) couldn’t take any more weight! – it had over 30 drum kits on it!
Pictured is Santa’s little helper Luke with a few of Santa’s sacks! (we sent out over 150 items by post….)
